Milledgeville is located in the very center of Georgia. It is rich with history, as it was the capital of Georgia from 1803-1868. It is also the birthplace of comedian Oliver Hardy and author Flannery O’Connor. The State’s first public psychiatric hospital opened in Milledgeville in 1842, and 162 years later, ATC has the privilege of scheduling nurses at this 1200 bed facility. In fact, the campus of Central State Hospital is so large, it has its own zip code. We also staff nurses at the regional hospital in all areas, including specialty areas of L&D, ER and ICU. We currently have a large need in these specialties in this area of the State.
